Volunteer Coordinator Liaison

	Marshals: Available Thursday-Sunday *Average volunteer shift times for this committee: AM – 7:00am to 12:00pm PM – 12:00pm to 6:00pm Description: Assist with crowd control by holding up a “QUIET” sign when the players are about to swing. Players will need help locating their golf ball on or around the fairways; this committee will assist. These volunteers will be inside the ropes with the professionals and are welcome and encouraged to bring a lawn chair. Must be able to walk to and from assigned hole location.

	*Admissions:* Available Monday-Sunday *Average volunteer shift times for this committee: AM - 6:30am to 10:30am PM(1) - 10:30am to 3:00pm PM(2) - 3:00pm to 7:00pm Description: Responsible for meeting and greeting spectators at the main tournament entrance. These volunteers will sell tournament tickets, distribute spectator guides and pairings sheets, and issue previously purchased tickets from the Will Call box.

	*Volunteer Services:* Available Monday-Sunday *Average volunteer shift times for this committee: AM - 6:30am to 11:30am PM(1) - 10:30am to 3:00pm PM(2) - 3:00pm to 6:00pm Description: Volunteers will be in charge of the “volunteer area.” These volunteers will help volunteers sign in, replenish drinks and assist the daily catering company with lunch. Morning volunteers will help put box lunches together for “on course volunteers.” Evening volunteers will help clean tablecloths and sweep volunteer area as needed.


	*Hospitality:* Available Monday-Sunday *Average volunteer shift times for this committee: AM – 7:00am to 11:00am PM(1) – 11:00am to 3:00pm PM(2) – 3:00pm to 8:00pm Description: Monday – Wednesday Responsible for assisting in Pro-Am and professional registration. Volunteers will also assist tournament staff with Pro-Am gift bag assembly and distribution. Thursday – Sunday Volunteers will manage and maintain corporate hospitality areas by wiping down chairs in the morning and checking VIP credentials throughout the day.


	*Player Golf Cart Shuttle:* Available Monday-Sunday *Average volunteer shift times for this committee: AM – 8:00am to 1:00pm PM – 1:00pm to 6:30pm Description: Volunteers will be responsible for shuttling the professional golfers and their caddies from green to tee in a golf cart throughout the tournament rounds.


	*Standard Bearers:* Available Thursday-Sunday *Average volunteer shift times for this committee: AM - Schedule start time with range from 7:15am – 8:45am depending on tee times PM - Schedule start time with range from 12:15pm – 2:45pm depending on tee times Description: Recommended for young adults (14-25), but all ages are welcome. This committee will follow a particular group of professional golfers and carry a sign displaying the names and scores of each player in that group for an entire round of golf. These volunteers will be walking inside the ropes with the professionals.


	*Walking Scorers:* Available Thursday-Sunday *Average volunteer shift times for this committee: AM - Schedule start time with range from 7:15am – 8:45am depending on tee times PM - Schedule start time with range from 12:15pm – 2:45pm depending on tee times Description: Each scorer will follow a particular group of professional golfers, marking strokes for the players in their group with a handheld Palm Pilot. These volunteers will be walking inside the ropes with the professionals.Golf knowledge is required.


	Scoring Central and Player Scorecard Assistant: Available Thursday-Sunday *Average volunteer shift times for this committee: AM – 7:00am to 1:00pm PM – 1:00pm to 8:00pm Description: Volunteers monitor and update the PGA TOUR scoring system throughout each tournament day. These volunteers will serve as the "command center" for the walking scorers. Volunteers will also work in the “finishing tent” and be working with the golf professionals to double check their scores after their round. Volunteers must have some golf knowledge.


	*Golf Channel:* Available Thursday-Sunday *Average volunteer shift times for this committee: AM / PM (one shift time) – 12:00am to 5:00pm Description: Responsible for relaying to The Golf Channel staff members information regarding scores, playing order, etc. Volunteers may also be assigned as microphone operators, who will record the sounds of golfers and golf shots.

	Scoreboard Assistant: Available Pre-Post Tournament (Dates: Monday 8.29.2011 / Sunday 9.4.2011 ) *Average volunteer shift times for this committee: AM / PM (one shift time) – Monday: 7:00am to 1:00pm Sunday: 12:00pm to 4:00pm Description: Assist with setting up 6 scoreboards throughout the golf course prior to the tournament and tear down following play on Sunday September 4th.

	*Start Tents:* Available Thursday-Sunday *Average volunteer shift times for this committee: AM – 7:00am to 12:00pm PM – 12:00pm to 5:30pm Description: Volunteers will be responsible for managing supplies (scorecards, tees, pencils, water) for players in the start tent. Volunteers will also meet and greet all the professional players before each round.


	*Distribution:* Available Monday-Sunday *Average volunteer shift times for this committee: AM – 7:00am to 11:30am PM – 11:30am to 4:00pm Description: Assist with delivering beverages and ice to various locations around the country club while on a golf cart.


	*Practice Facility:* Available Monday-Sunday *Average volunteer shift times for this committee: AM – 6:15am to 11:00am PM (1) – 11:00am to 3:00pm PM(2) – 3:00pm to 8:00pm Description: Assist in providing and maintaining a suitable driving range for the professionals. Specific duties include maintaining supplies such as range balls and monitoring access. These volunteers will also display the players names on the sign holders. These volunteers will be inside the ropes with the professionals.


	A-Team: Available Monday-Sunday *Average volunteer shift times for this committee: AM – 6:00am to 12:00pm PM – 12:00pm to 6:00pm Description: A-TEAM volunteers will perform a variety of tasks throughout tournament week. This position is ideal for the problem solver that's not afraid to fill in with different committees at different times.This committee will NOT be asked to work in the concession stand this year.
